Fire Detection and Management

Since 2023, Guru Technology has been at the forefront of Fire Detection and Management, developing a robust system to mitigate the devastating impacts of fires in Nepal. As research supervisors and collaborators, our team has leveraged deep learning frameworks, the Android platform, and web technologies to design an automated early fire detection and alert system. This system integrates computer vision techniques with mobile and web applications to ensure rapid and reliable fire detection, while actively minimizing false alarms.

Key features include a mobile app for citizens to report fire incidents by uploading images and location data, enabling swift responses from authorities. Additionally, the system processes real-time CCTV footage to detect fires and trigger immediate alerts. To enhance response efficiency, a dedicated dashboard for authorities facilitates adaptive resource management, optimizing manpower and equipment during emergencies. For firefighters, we developed a mobile app providing real-time fire locations, distances, and optimal routes for response.

This comprehensive and integrated solution benefits public users, authorities, and firefighters alike, ensuring effective fire prevention and management. With widespread implementation, this system has the potential to save lives, protect wildlife, and safeguard homes and forests, contributing to safer urban and rural communities.
