Prem Singh Bist is a dedicated researcher and Ph.D. fellow at Jeonbuk National University in South Korea. His research focuses on applying artificial intelligence tools and techniques to Bioinformatics, particularly in the prediction, analysis, and drug discovery related to SARS-CoV-2 escape sequences. By identifying and characterizing mutated escape sequences, Prem's work aims to provide insights for developing effective vaccines and preventing pandemics. He has published notable research papers, including "Sars-escape network for escape prediction of SARS-COV-2" in Briefings in Bioinformatics (2023) and "Identification Of Sars-cov-2 Viral Escape Sequences Using Escapetrans Network" in the IEEE conference proceedings (2022). Prior to his Ph.D., Prem gained over a decade of experience in software development and management roles in various organizations.
During his software development and managerial career, Prem worked at companies such as Itriangle Infotech Pvt Ltd, Faststream Technology Pvt, and Impetus Infotech Pvt. Ltd. He also served as a Team Lead at Guru Institute of Engineering & Technology in Nepal and went on to establish Guru Technology Pvt Ltd, where he held positions as CEO and Technical Architect from 2018 June - 2021 August. Alongside his professional experience, Prem has contributed to the scientific community through publications in fields like Music Onset Detection using Convolutional Neural Networks. Overall, his diverse background and expertise in both software development and bioinformatics make him a valuable researcher and contributor to the scientific field. Currently, Prem Singh Bist holds the position of a consultant and executive board member at Guru Technology Pvt Ltd.
